Former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is still in a critical condition in South Africa, party security officials have disclosed, a development that saw right hand-woman, Theresa Makone abruptly flying to South Africa to be by his side.
A member of Tsvangirai’ s security team said the opposition leader’s condition was very bad. It is said he is as reported, “struggling to speak” – this has caused alarm and made Makone to fly out to Johannesburg where he is at the Wits Gordon Medical Centre.
It has also emerged the opposition party has been hard hit by serious factional battles as party bigwigs position themselves to succeed Tsvangirai if he dies. Earlier on at the weekend both spokesman Luke Tamborinyoka and Secretary General Douglas Mwonzora had attempted fighting off the rumours with Mwonzora saying,
