25 houses at Lumanda farm compound near Stappleford farm in Mashonaland West have been destroyed by a fire which started at a nearby farm.
The origins of the fire are not known although the villagers claim they only noticed it when it was already too late and could not save anything from their homes.
The 25 were reduced to ashes by the time the fire brigade arrived but they managed to save the remaining 488 houses.
Some of the property destroyed include, wardrobes, bicycles, blankets, foodstuffs and beds.
Village head Mr Paul Jonasi is appealing to well wishers to assist the families whose property was destroyed by fire. zbc
