All is not well at Marian Primary school in Bindura after the institution’s authority decided to rent out the headmaster’s house, resulting in the head  staying in the computer lab.

Apparently it is not only the head who is opposed to the move, but scores of parents with children attending this school as they recently attacked the Roman Catholic Church which happens to oversee the running of the school.

A parent who preferred anonymity for fear of victimisation opposed the move saying school head, Mr Gabaza must have a decent accommodation as the current situation is unbearable as he is sharing ablution facilities with pupils.

Ironically, an insider at the school said they have a headmsters’s cottage in Chiwaridzo which is currently renting out to someone for the love of money.

The source added that Mr Gabaza is not the only victim to have faced the situation as his predecessor was no exception.

“The previous head when he became a threat to the church officials they also made stringent conditions for him resulting in his immediate departure,” said the source.

When contacted for comment the headmaster was evasive, but rather said contact the church officials or the district education officer.
